I have been open in Devizes since January 2009 and the business has grown substantially gaining 5 stars with scores on the doors. I started my fish and chip career in 1985 at the Lemon Plaice in the Brunel Centre Swindon.
We believe that quality comes first every time and we insist that the fish and potatoes we buy are of the best quality available. Our fish is cut and our potatoes are chipped every morning in our kitchen. We don’t believe in expansive menus. We produce top quality Fish & Chips because that is what we do best.
We believe the traditional methods are the best. That’s why our potatoes are peeled and chipped every day in our shop to give you the best, freshest chips to enjoy and if they’re in the chip box for any more than 20 minutes they get thrown away!
Our potatoes are from farms in the Fens of Cambridgeshire, Maris piper remains the most widely used potato but we like to experiment with new varieties such as Ramos, Caberet ,Agria and the newest being Rock.
We place great emphasis on sourcing our fish from sustainable and well managed fish stocks. Why is this so important? Quite simply, because sustainable seafood is seafood that is either caught or farmed in ways that consider the long-term vitality of harvested species and the well-being of the oceans, as well as the livelihoods of fisheries-dependent communities.
